Not an awful day, though i did sleep much and I was ill for a good bit of it. Our high was 88F, with a heat index of 92F. So, a cold snap. Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Debby, which I have been warning was going to get worse thanks to hot warm gulf waters, is coming ashore as a Catgeory 2 Hurricane. And while we cannot blame the current eruption of Mount Etna on climate change, the Pacific forest fires, currently rampaging from the Arctic Circle (!!!!!) to southern California, that's pure climate change. The new year round forest fire season.
But I digress, Or maybe not.
Who even knows anymore. I have outlived my world, straying into this socio/planetary apocalypse.
So, no one is going to believe that I began my conversion to Judaism in 2021, long before the war began. But I have witnesses, and, anyway, it's not yet time to talk about that.
A lot of MP2 work today, and there will be more tomorrow. The ms. is finally beginning to look like a ms., and Mike is teaching me to use MeshLab so I will have three-dimensional images at my disposal (specimens I will not has at hamd, but which he has scanned). How am I not supposed to call it MethLab? Right now I'm describing the dermatocranium. We have about eight specimens of this new species. I am told anatomical desription is what I do best, and with other authors on the project handling geology and systematics (PAUP) and graphics, it frees me up to do my best job.
I think that's all for now. I leave you with the Yawn of Blixa.
