Rain again today. I truly have had enough of this. Our high today was 79F, with a heat index of 82F.
At sixty, my mother had already been retired for five years. And I cannot even imagine the possibility of retirement at any point in my life, which, really, says as much about poor choices I made as much as it says about the economy.
But it has become unexpectedly dispsiriting.

Two documentaries today, one of the history of blue jeans, one on how global warming is affecting killer whales, narwhals, and polar bears. Last night we saw a somewhat meh sort of horror film, Emma Tammi's The Wind (2018). It's ambitious, and it's beautifully filmed. But the script is lackluster, and the director and actors are terribly inexpereinced.
So, I think
there might be ONE copy of Vile Affections remaining, at $15 off the publication price. My thanks to the people who have bought copies so far. THis sale is isn't saving us, but it isn't hurting, either.
