Very hot again today. Our high was 96F, with a heat index of 103F.
There are thing I want to write about. Things that are piling up. I thought I could do that today, but now it's late and I think maybe not tonight. Maybe tomorrow. No, nothing good. I am being crushed beneath unfinished work, ill health, and my own, at times baffling, inertia.
Fuck, I'm exhausted. I'm hardly sleeping. Three or four hours a night.
But at least tonight we saw a very good movie. A very good vampire movie, and how rare a thing is that? Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett's Abigail (2024), a smart and darkly hilarious film, and I recommend Abigail without reserfvation. It's a delight. We followed it with Michael Lehmann's Heathers (1988), which I'd not seen in many years.
Oh, and the afternoon film was J.J. Abrams' Star Trek (2009).
Please visit
the Dreaming Squid Sundries shop. Lots of cool stuff, and I sign and personalize the books. Thanks.
