"I'm living in an age whose name I don't know."

Our high today was 95F, with a heat index of 98F. But this afternoon clouds moved in, and an overcast 95F feels a lot cooler than a sunny, bright 95. When I dared to go outside for a pathetically short walk, it felt so much cooler than yesterday, just from the cloud cover.

Not going to say much today. Though I do want to say that Thomas Matthew Crooks did no one any favors yesterday, and once he pulled that trigger, an already terrifying situation got a lot scarier and far more dangerous.

I am so fucking tired.

I finished Adam Higginbotham's book on the Challenger accident this morning, then read "Carmilla," which I likely have not read in at least thirty years. This afternoon I re-watched the last two episodes of the BBC/PBS series The Planets (2019).

Please, the shop. Bills. Thank you.

Later Tater Beans,
