Our excesssive heat warning remains in effect. Our high today was 100F, with a heat index of 111F.
Still, a better day. It helped that I realized the medicine I started taking for "the cough" was making me stupid and drowzy.
I spent part of the day getting one of my older stories ready to show an editor as a possible reprint. I wrote it in 1999, and I'd not read it since March 2011. It actually holds up very well, I think. I was pleased. I made a few changes, but nothing major. It did make me nostalgic for that last gasp of the 20th century.
The afternoon's film was James Gray's Ad Astra (2019).
