Making the Best of Nothing in Particular (195)

Feb 11, 2023 16:48

A gloomy, cloudy day. Cooler weather. We got our warm February weather back in December, and now, when things should be warming up and turning green, we have this shitty December weather. Our high was only 48˚F, and we have a wind advisory.

I did have a good writing morning. Another 1,134 words on "Crotalus," which I hope to finish on Monday. Which means Sirenia Digest 104 might go out to subscribers as early as Wednesday. Spooky's read what there is of the story thus far, and she likes it.

Today, I paid my Paleontological Society dues. Thanks to the people making purchases as the Dreaming Squid Sundries shop for making "luxuries" like this possible.

I managed to sleep about six solid hours last night. Not bad.

Oh, I worked on Winifred a little. My paleo' work during COVID-19 has shifted away from preparation towards research, simply because it's a hell of a lot easier to do research at home during lockdown. And yes, I know that lockdown ended a very long time ago, but it has made changes to me that may never be undone.

I leave you with another shot from yesterday, from McWane. "Back of House," the labyrinth behind the scenes.

Later Tater Beans,
Aunt Beast
