Today was a little better than yesterday. The cold was still with us. After of low of 32˚F last night, the high today was 62˚F.
And I wrote. I did 1,321 words on the new Tinfoil Dossier novella this morning.
The afternoon I watched Sergio Leone's Once Upon a Time in America (1984), the director's cut (3 hour and 49 minute cut, vs. the 2 hour and 19 minute theatrical cut). It's a strange, brilliant, flawed film. You watch a movie that long, you ought to have a lot to say, but I think I'm still digesting.
Last night's "scary" film was Neil Marshall's The Descent (2005), which I think I was more fond of nineteen years ago than I was last night. It's still effective, but I think it gets overwhelmed in the gore and loses a lot of potential.
Please have a look at
the Big Cartel shop. Thanks.
Outside, the green is fading fast.
