It's sunny today. There are a few clouds to break that carnivorous vista, and the temperature's in the lows '70s Fahrenheit. I should be out there. I would be anywhere, doing anything, but writing this book ( Read more... )

Instead, I created a new blood elf paladin, Salimah, and leveled her to ten.

My best experience in World of Warcraft was levelling my blood elf hunter (or ranger, I forget what Wow called the class), Sichilde, in the Forsaken starter quests after the Cataclysm revamp. I took her right over to the Forsaken area at level one--those Forsaken quests are a nice, smooth string of storytelling. It was good until I hit the brick wall of Outlands.

And yeah. The Forsaken stuff is about as good as WoW writing ever gets. But I have a soft spot for blood elves.

I actually finished Outland, and Northrend, and the Catcalysm expansion with Shaharrazad.

Re: climate change - a conversation with some of the far right relatives convinced me that it's all political for them. If the liberals think it's true, they're instantly against it. It's at the level of a knee-jerk reflex.
