the other day my mozilla firefox defaults disappeared. i think it was because i created a new user account for my laptop under windows xp, and there was redundancy in filenames.
anyway, all my firefox bookmarks disappeared,
and i grieved for a few moments.
then i realised i could start over with a new, streamlined batch. my old bookmarks were given fancy names for folders and subfolders like "mathematics preprint servers" or "techie blogs" or "email accounts" or "people i know."
now i have only four main folders, which cut to the chase:
- look through, again.
- for procrastination.
- blogging
- day-to-day.
you can look at my current bookmarks
here, if you'd like. i'm also always open to new websites to browse .. for if there is any useful skill in a grad student's repetoire, it is how to waste time effectively!
