I just noticed that it's been 7 weeks since I updated this. That's because I've been really really busy with not so exciting things. I've been working my ass off between DirectBuy and Old Navy, and stressing out because I'm still broke as hell. But the light at the end of tunnel is in sight...as of this weekend, Derek and I will be living with his mom in Darien, rent-free. So instead of pissing away $810 a month on a one bedroom apartment in little India (with nothing included), we'll be holing up in her basement and only paying for our groceries. We'll continue to live there for a year, or so, until we save up enough money to put a hefty down payment on a house SOMEWHERE. We have a general idea where that somewhere is, but of course nothing's definite so I'm not even going to mention the location (I think one of you knows it but that's it!).
As far as wedding plans go, we're really getting into the time when we actually have to DO stuff. There has been some recent drama involving the bridesmaid dress, but that has been resolved and we are moving forward to ordering them. Oh and Katie, I don't know if you read this anymore, but Derek's supposed to be getting in touch with you regarding the dress. We are going to start assembling invitations as soon as I can order the rest of the parts to them. We bought our rings a couple of weeks ago so that's exciting...mine should be in sometime this week and we already have Derek's. Other than that, it's probably time for cake tasting and picking out the tuxes. We also need to start planning the honeymoon...we are going to Florida, but we're not sure what all we're going to do there. Disney for sure, and Ray suggested that we go to Busch Gardens. I definitely want to hit up the beach on the Gulf side, just because I've already been to Daytona and a beach in South Carolina so I've experienced that. We had engagement photos taken the week of Halloween and I have the proofs! They are awesome. I'll post a teaser here (I'm not even sure if I'm supposed to do this but here it is behind the

This past Sunday Derek and I trekked out to DeKalb for Christmas dinner with Sarah and Ray. And may I say, if you didn't come, you missed out on some AWESOME tiramisu! Mmmmmmm......
I've also been occupying my time by playing Guitar Hero III on the 360. I've beat it on medium, now I'm working on getting 100% on all of the songs. My hands aren't big enough to play hard though, *sadface*.
Well I guess that's it for now. If you don't hear from me again before Christmas, make it a Merry one.
