So these past few months have been out of control busy on the Schreiber front.
Got my wisdom teeth out right when I got home in May, followed immediately by a trip to Portland, OR to visit my sister (WOW what a beautiful place). Started a class as soon as I got home from that and then my job started about 6 weeks later. 8-5 daily at Maple Elementary with the kiddies. So, technically, I got a Friday, Saturday, and Sunday's worth of vacation (the three days prior to my teeth extraction and the 3 days immediately following my last final). Did NOT get to see a whole lot of Tim which made me a very sad person, but at least I did get to see him sometimes...
Started marching band a week before I started school...didn't have a place to live for those 6 days, but stayed with Gillian-coolest person EVER for allowing me her couch and fridge. Started school and have been doing nothing but school and band ever since.
Well...except for all the fun stuff! Last Thursday night I tried to join the Century Club. Managed only about 45 minutes, though. Not too shabby considering I'm a lightweight who doesn't drink very often. Chocolate made the Century Club, but he was the only one. Everyone else did a power hour (except Jess and I).
Jess is getting married on June 11 (my roommate, Jess) and I am a bridesmaid, YAY! I am so excited because this is like...the fourth wedding I've ever been invited to and I get to be IN IT! The funniest part is going to be when Jim and I have to dance together. Hopefully, I won't fall on my ass.
Went to Indiana a few weeks ago with the band. SO MUCH FUN. We were wasted on the bus (amazing what you can disguise as juice) and then proceded to the bar as soon as we got there. Now, being as that I'm 20, you'd think I'd be kicked out or forced to drink water/pop the whole night. NOPE! I managed to get 4 shots down and only ended up paying for one of them. Drunk band guys are so nice, apparently. Went back to the hotel and were crazy for another couple hours. 3 hours of sleep later, we got up and went to the game (thankfully we didn't have to march). All in all, I made about $15 on that trip (they gave us food money) and had a lot of fun with a lot of really cool people. I can't wait for the next bowl trip........if there is one.......
Tim and I have been together for over 2 years now (our anniversary was the 1st of October). We celebrated very small, but ended up going ring shopping (for a second time) and he told me how he had originally planned to propose (at the last home football game) but wasn't able to because Madden and Brough didn't want him using the marching band as his way of proposing to me. Oh well, at least I know it's coming soon.......SO HAPPY!
Well, I should probably head to percussion. Yeah, that's right, I'm taking percussion class. I (sometimes) love being a music major (until 20th century theory and strings and being in concert band still and the politics). But hopefully it'll all pan out when I finally get a job.
See you guys later! Love you!
