So, our awesome government has passed a bill (under urgency) which from September will mean NZ has the most draconian internet anti-download legislation in the WHOLE WORLD.

Tonight we have had four quite large aftershocks in the space of an hour or so. They weren't huge on the Richter scale (around 4) but very shallow and very close, and things fell off the shelves again. Ironically, the main thing to fall was my pile of CDs that were already broken or scratched, that I'm determining whether to claim on insurance for ( Read more... )

Holy crap. Just woke up at 5.00ish in the morning to a pretty reasonable earthquake (I'm in Wellington, in a seven storey building, so we really felt it, even though it wasn't so strong here).
