When I was in Queensland, Australia, 2 years ago. One of the most amazing sights I saw was a white gleaming mountain peak in the distance west of Proserpine. I still can't work out its name but its location is here: -20° 20' 45.87", +148° 11' 24.94" Seemed to be quartz. And where you get that you sometimes get gold etc.
