Finally able to spend a few days around AKL, I have been able to get to
The Bunker for the first time this season/trip.
Last night was Singer Songwriter night. Tonight was Vikki Clayton in concert.
Really good to get back up the hill; stop playing
Ingress having completed my Missions tasks, and lovely to chat with folkies I've now known for over 15 years! The place now feels like a second livingroom to me. Somewhere I feel safe and relaxed. I'd probably still get stage frite occasionally, but a drinkie might sort that out.
Earlier in the evening I indulged in a little nostalgia on this ANZAC quiet holiday Monday by visiting the Chocolate Boutique in Parnell. It has been an amazing 15 or 16 years since we used to frequent this place with whatever assortment of girls from the hostel not far away. Thankfully the
Chocolate Boutique is one of the places that hasn't changed very much (just expanding with an additional seating area out the back). No sign anymore of the chairs once labelled and sat on by Bill Clinton and Chelsea during a brief visit. I can still highly recommend the place :)
Mocha Affogato - heaven :)
