Escaping chooks and more smelly plants

One of the chooks obviously gets bored and likes to explore. So I took a double take when i looked out the kitchen window and saw 'Clotted' meandering up the orchard path. Oh well, she was obliging and happy to return to the pen... and get some kibble out of me. I also saw a moorhen lurking around the outside of the chook pen. I had wondered who was living in the hedge with next door. Now I saw. The pond at bottom of garden rose about 4" in level after the huge thunder and lightning rain storm on Thursday night. This is a very large pond which forms the bottom of 4 or so properties. I'd guess ~200m2, and it's now gone down about 2" in level since Friday and the weed is starting to be noticeable again. So normality will probably return by Wednesday when I move on again.

Also I only just found out that another Titan Arum has just flowered again at Cambridge Uni Botanic Garden. I've missed the smelly time again but it's nice to know this summer is obviously to these plants liking :)

Went for a pub walk and Ingressing wander around Wiken today out in the Fen. My guardian portal in NZ got taken out this morning only 3 days before I got the 150day Onyx badger. Bugger, as they say in NZ... another 6 months down the googler. Oh well. Hopefully a secondary will keep going for long enough instead. But I've been here before and Guardian hunters are total scum.
