Oh how the house trembles...
So, we have an infestation of plumbers today, here to replace the pipes so we can have hot water again after lo these many years of doing without (well, a passable trickle, but no real water pressure). There's perhaps half a dozen or more, scooting about the house, yelling back and forth in Spanish and ripping holes in the walls. We had to postpone once already (Monday) as the basement was too frightening and we had to go digging it out (it was! I think I'll have nightmares just from the spiders that we shook loose from things!). Bang! Clank! Thump! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrooooooooooooowwwwwwwllllllllll! The power tools vibrating up through the kitchen floor was perhaps the most unnerving.
tibet is happily being oblivious upstairs as she experiments with miniature painting. I dug out a basket of lead minis from the '70s for her to practice on, and she's already moved on to working on the Apaches I picked up a few weeks back for the Wild Wild WoD game. I wish I could just shut it all out like that, but no. Sounds like a drill's going to pop right through the office wall through Diana's Mac. Fun.
