Yuletide reveal time. I had a lot of fun writing my story, even though I did it sliiightly last-minute (internal monologue throughout the writing process: "Plot! It needs a plot! NO TIME! NO TIME!").
Anyway, Common Knowledge [Community]. In which Britta gets a text, the group wanders off-subject, Annie has a meltdown, and Jeff has a realization.
I'm a little sad Annie got backgrounded for almost the whole thing (time, again), but overall I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.
Fun Facts!
1. It is entirely possible to have "Getting Rid of Britta" stuck in your head for two consecutive weeks!
2. Something I forgot I didn't put in anywhere: the class Shirley and Pierce are going to in the story is Human Growth & Development, which Shirley forgot to opt out of and Pierce...didn't so much.
3. One of Britta's lines is lifted directly from a rough draft of a Thick of It story I'm working on. (It was Olly's, originally.)
Happy 2010, everyone! Let's hope it's a good one.
