We have a tendency, as teenagers to believe that the we are the center of the universe. Don't argue, don't disagree, it is our nature. Step outside of yourself just for one moment. Put all the "you-phrases" behind you, and have an honest thought about all the other people around you, after all we are never alone. I have the proclivity to take myself to seriously. I know I do it, and often hate myself for it. Think of someone who's touched you. You know, that one person or possibly those people who inspire you just by being them. They've impacted you in some way, whether negatively or positively. Seek to be someone that inspires others next time you find yourself obsessing over that gap between your upper teeth. So much time we waste pitying ourselves and thinking that we're alone. In that time we lose our ability to connect with others. We build walls and distance ourselves. I think of a few people who have changed the way I am. For some reason their influence never hit me as strong when they were alive, but now I will seek to live my life as they would have. I guess the message is stop worrying about yourself and seek to connect with others. That's all for the rambling....
