But, but...it's Evanescence!
I'm ashamed to admit that I'm not ashamed that I love this song:
It's just that Evanescence is one of those music acts that I just sort of hate on principle. Like Nickleback or Rihanna.
How could they go and produce something that makes them sound like a legitimate Goth Metal band instead of, as a radio dj
back in Vegas always put it, "Linkin Park with a chick.? (Although that was the only time I defended the band, on feminist principles, mind you.)
I mean yeah, I fell for My Immortal and Bring me to Life brought me to life, but after actually buying the cd I was so over Amy Lee and her Hot Topic fairy wings and emotive lyrics that I actually convinced Walmart to refund me my money (true story, but the cd was actually causing my portable disc player to jump like a washing machine in the rinse cycle.)
With "What you Want" this band is finally less "Linkin Park" and more Lacuna Coil meets Nine Inch Nails *sheds tear*
