My relatives in Ohio would hate me for saying this but...
... up here in Reno we are having the longest Indian summer like EVER!
You see, I never liked summer until I moved to a place that has four actual seasons. And with Reno having the schizoid climate that it does...well, let's just say I was cheated out of a spring this year. We got snow in June, so I was holding onto to every ounce of warm weather like a boy to his mama's leg on the first day of school.
So September comes, we get our first significant temperature drop. And then it goes back up to 80. And we've been averaging mid to high 70's for the past month and a half. That's just wrong! I was bracing for the cold weather. I was READY for it. I went to TJ Max and got some skanky knee high boots and a poncho and I was like LET'S DO THIS!
But instead my toes are callused because I'm still in FLIP FLOPS. Stop teasing me Reno climate! To quote Charlie Brown: Aaaarrrrgggg!
