Greetings unto all. Hope you're all doing well....

Life, is good! I know, I know, I don't say it nearly as often as I think it, so now it's written down as a reminder that I am still human(ish).
Work has been good for the past week, but I'm not sure if that's just me coming off of Spring War (which was a hoot!), or if the boss has decided to pull his head in & make the place a little more enjoyable. It could also be that we have a new guy working with us - an extra pair of hands & all that. Aaron is a mid-to-late-twenties guy with a whack of Hort. knowledge & experience, so that really helps out while he works the opposite weekends to Carol & I, with the boss....poor bugger.
The nursery is actually starting to look the way it should, clean, presentable & with healthy plants (mostly!). I got a good wrap from a client yesterday, but of course it fell on deaf ears when Carol told the boss about it.... twat. It was a simple matter of being helpful & polite, you know, good customer service....

On other fronts, Phill's results came back - he is not ceoliac. Good news, & bad kind of. The Dr. has said that he believes the problem may stem fromn two different issues, so my poor boy is now on medication for about three months, before having to go back & start all over again. In the meantime, the pain & discomfort is supposed to be endured. Have I ever mentioned how much I fucking hate doctors? Instead of saying "Now take 3 of these a day with food for the next 3 months.", why not say, "well, it's not Ceoliac, so let's have a look at other options, like maybe an allergy test."...twat.
Anyway, my boy is as well as can be expected (apart from enduring me!), & is thouroughly enjoying his new job. I figured that office work would be good for him & so far, every night that he has come home (hours soon to change from training at night to day shifts), he's had some giggling story to tell me! I just wish that I wasn't so shagged by that time of night, so I could be more supportive.
Phill's found some kindred spirits within his training group too, & seems to becoming quite the popular-kid in class! Which I knew would happen because he's fabulous! So far, those that I've met (only 2) seem to be really nice folks too, which makes it easier on everyone. There is one in the class though (as there inevitably is) that seems to be rubbing everyone wrong, so it's not just one or two with personality clashes, it's more like 30-people-complaing-about-the-same-person-means-something. Anyhoo, those are pretty good odds when it comes down to it I s'pose, but I hope I never get to meet the "one", as I've already formed a few choice 'one-liners' that a personality like hers will find offensive. The main thing is that my boy is smiling again! It brightens up my days so very much (selfish bastard, ain't I??!!)

On a personal note, I had a great time at Spring war! I was starting to feel the ebb & flow of mild deppression leading up to the long weekend but now, all is sunshine & lollipops! Well, partly cloudy & musk-sticks at least! Rags is looking to start up another Warhammer campaign, which should be fun. Sounds like we may have plenty of players this time around too. I've decided to jump away from my favoured Vampire army & delve into the verdant darkness with my wood elves. Now, if I can only get them all painted! heheheheee I've already got Rags slappin' colour onto the ponies...errrr horses... but there is still a lot of figures to paint up. Should be fun though, as I'll have to utilise tactics that I've not needed to in the past with the Vamps. Wood elves are a fast & light 'shooty' army that needs to use some skirmish-heavy tactics, where as the Vamps are more of the 'plod-forward-scaring-everything-&-kill-what's-left' sort of force. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
The D&D group seems to be enjoying the little 'side-trip' I've got them on, away from the main adventure. Time to ramp up the beasties though! (hush vonriga! You'll be spared if you play nice...or donate munchies to the starvin-GMs foundation!)
The yard is looking a little parched - I so desperately need to get some mulch down. I should also get those pictures I keep promising up & running. It's amazing how much the yard has changed within the last year. Ok, that's this weeks side-project.
TAFE is on holidays at the moment, but is still good. I have an assignment due the first week back so I better get onto that too. It's a pretty simple on though so I'm not too worried.

Well, I think it's time to go have a cuppa with the boy, as he's now up. Be good all & I'll try to drop a line more often, so that you don't have to wade through all that crap that I drop in one hit!

ciao!
