Figured I should probably post something to say that I'm OK, and the family's OK, and that we made it through Wilma (who comes up with the names for these bloody storms, anyway??)...we still don't have our power back (which is why I'm typing this from my dad's office, which has a hook-up to a large & marvelous generator....& is where we've camped

You should have seen the Today show the morning Wilma crossed FL. Al Roker was broadcasting from a city on the eastern shore (I forget the name) while the back side of the eye was going offshore, and was blown off his feet at one point. He retained the presence of mind to crack a joke about how, for once, he missed the 100 pounds or so that lost a few years back.
(who comes up with the names for these bloody storms, anyway??)...

Yep, worse I think, at least for our region...I will be soooooo very, very, very happy when I can afford to move far away from here...

We finally have power back (restored on Friday evening), I hope it stays on! (H. sighs).....at this point, Canada is looking better and better to me every day ;o)

(H. chuckles) yes, Massachusetts, Vermont, Oregon...anyplace where there are no such things as "hurricane seasons" and "flood warnings" and "tornado watches"....not too much to ask for, is it? ;o)
