Oi...what happened?

I'm flying through the air. [... oh wait.] Not of my own volition.

[one_green_eye]

Hnn. That could be a number of things.

[a pause as his mind splits over a dozen different possibilities. Time to play twenty questions.]

Was it sudden, when you were already in the air? [pause] Would you say you were flung, or pulled?

[greenlongjohns]

It's happened while I've been on the ground and in the air. I thought it was my powers on the fritz at first.

[The second question gives him pause as he thinks about it.] I'd say it was more like I was pulled than being thrown.

[one_green_eye]

[a low mutter]

It sounds like it might be... a Tenpengusa.

But I'd have to see you to be sure.

Are your powers going to keep you from crashing to the ground? [this is out of his element, now]

They are now. [Fortunately he was able to get a recharge in after running into Diana.] Wonder Woman is close at hand just in case, though.

Is there any way I can get to you? ...without flying...?

[he thinks about it a moment, adding] If it's really a Tenpengusa, it should find you unfit as food-- and drop you to the ground.

[a flying man... and talking to someone in the midst of being caught by a mushi. This is a new one, even for him.]

[greenlongjohns]

I'm on the ground, for now. [Although that has a tendency to change now and then.] So you're saying it will go away on its own?

[one_green_eye]

... it might be a little more complicated than that, but yes. It should.

[a pause]

If it's what I think it is, you need to be around people. If it has enough of a hold on you, you might be invisible to most eyes for a while. That's the nature of this kind of mushi-- in attempting to eat you, you'll be pulled between the human and mushi planes of existence.

[greenlongjohns]

[Eating him. Lovely. He pauses as he thinks about that, though.]

There's nothing you can do before I start fading away?

[one_green_eye]

Not with a mushi this powerful.

[with the slight bemusement of a man looking through a microscope at a new creature] ...to be honest, I've never dealt with a case quite like this.

[Well, that's comforting. At least John has the benefit of not falling to his death while he works his way through this.]

A possibility. Are there any other symptoms I should be aware of?

Well, if you do find yourself pulled into the mushi's plane-- you will need something that attaches you to the earth to contradict the pull of the mushi.

A person, or a strong motivation. That's why if would be wise for you to stay in the company of others. You might lose your memory for a time, as well.

[John sounds a little more amused by this than he should.]
