[Today is not a good day for John. Not only is it storming all around, buth e's been seeing things. He knows that they're fake. Simply echoes. But he's seeing things like Sinestro fleeing into a store. It may be fake, but he can't help but go looking anyway. Unfortunately as he does... something happens. Something unexpected. [Well then, it's a good thing that Diana catches sight of his unfortunate ascent into the air. The moment it's obvious that he's not in control of his own actions, she drops the umbrella she's holding and launches into the air, urging herself to go faster. Figures that this happens in the middle of a thunderstorm.

She reaches him with time to spare, catching him well before he hits the ground.]

[Throughout his fall, John does his best as he goes twisting through the air to get his ring to work again, but with no such luck. He's at the point of bracing himself for death when... he stops in mid air as someone catches him. He lets out a sigh of relief and glances back behind him.]

Whew. That was a damn close call.

[orchidsandfire]

[She lowers both of them to the ground.]

You're lucky I was around.

[greenlongjohns]

[He takes a few clumsy steps on the ground. Good old Terra Firma.]

You've got that right. Something's been causing my ring to misfire. The thing short circuited while I was in mid air.

[orchidsandfire]

It doesn't seem like you were flying on your own volition.

[greenlongjohns]

I wasn't. [He glances up at the sky.] I'll need to recharge the ring. At least until then it won't happen aga-

[Before he can finish his statement though, John is suddenly flying in the air again.]

[Diana's quick enough to grab his leg as he's hauled up, but imagine her shock when she is also tugged into the air.

Unable to stop their ascent, she lets go and waits until John begins to fall before gently lowering him to the ground again.]

Well. I won't do that again.

[greenlongjohns]

[He lets out a frustrated groan when they finally are back on ground again.]

This is going to get old very fast.

[orchidsandfire]

Is this another experiment? [She holds herself in a defensive position, just in case she needs to catch GL again or she herself gets pulled into the air.]

[greenlongjohns]

[He seems ready to be thrown up in the air at any time. Given his ring isn't working at the moment, he doesn't want to lose track of Diana.]

It could be anything. Although... now that I think about it, someone put out a warning out about something strange going on.

[orchidsandfire]

Yes -- I recall something about entities called...mushi? I thought they only affected supernatural beings. [Which she is, and she curses herself for not being more alert to this danger.]

[greenlongjohns]

[A nod.] I didn't pay much attention to it at the time. [He should find out who that was. But before that...] I need to recharge my ring first.

[orchidsandfire]

Where do you keep your lantern? [Now they have a dilemma. If she leaves him to get it, she may come back to find him splayed on the ground, and if they go together, it might take forever to actually reach the lantern and charge his ring.]

[greenlongjohns]

My room. [He glances down at his ring.] I should have just enough juice to pull it out of its pocket dimension. [Which unfortunately means he has to be there to retrieve it.]

[orchidsandfire]

[She grasps his arm. No complaining now.] Then let's go get it.

[greenlongjohns]

[He glances over at Diana, feeling just a tad awkward about this arrangement. He's not used to being vulnerable around his teammates. Especially... the more attractive ones. Well, Shayera aside.]

Right. Let's go. [And he'll just... start walking, then.]
