ok, so a lot has happened. let me bring you up to speed.
this wednesday i officially resigned from my employment at anthro. i always knew that i would "know" when i was ready to go, and it definitely happened. between one of my managers "accidentally" hitting me with a piece of merchandise, countless customer attempts at theft, and my favorite store manager's mysterious firing, i decided to leave. i wrote a nice letter to the woman who hired me and graciously gave her my two weeks. what makes me the most excited about the situation is the fact i will have my life and sanity back on the weekends. i can't even fathom how wonderful it would be to sit in my underwear all day on a saturday and sip tea, or sleeping in late with my boyfriend on sunday mornings, instead of rushing to get breakfast and such before i have to go to work. i'm actually calling in "sick" on sunday (if i don't get off already) to go to the renaissance festival with my friends. oopsie doops?
the day job is okay. i have been insane the last two days because my fb has been disabled and i have been unable to log in. i can't chat with my coworker rizwan or my friends, msg my boyfriend, or play farmville (don't hate.) its been driving me crazy because sometimes there are long periods where i am just sitting at my desk with nothing to do. sigh. as for moving to goddard, nothing is cement yet. however i have been having lunch with my dad more often which is nice. today was our benefits and health fair, which was actually pretty amazing. i was offered homemade smoothies and vegetable chips to enjoy during my painless flu shot. i was given a box of fresh panera lunch, a 10 minute massage, and afterword had my blood pressure and cholesterol checked. it would be wrong to say that the massage didn't help me at all, but everything went so well. i got my cholesterol numbers and i swear i SQUEALED when i read them. 200 total cholesterol!! and i didn't even fast! yes, 200 is still high but good lord this summer when i went to hopkins it was 258 which is fucking scary as fuck. i don't know if its because i have been taking the zocor or the diet and exercise but i feel so relieved right now. i know this is genetic and i will have to fight this my whole life but i'm getting there people!
