Working Poors

Emotionally charged evening, in a unrelated to my life kind of way. I've started watching the Butterfly Effect and that movie has really caught my attention - I think I need to finish it before I go to sleep. It's just - gripping, really.

Then, watched the documentary Amerika, Amerika on Arte. It was about working poors, something that still ( Read more... )

There's plenty of work in France, but I know what you mean about the US.
I think now everybody can see why I want you to launch your political career and be our first woman president, gay president and smaller than 4 feet president :)

Seriously, you've got this fire that I don't see much in our generation, we need people like you, people with the heart in the right place and the will to change things.
I may eventually do that one day. But you're far more talented than me (and you're cuter :)

Most of the people in the western countries have lost faith in politics as we know it. Corruption, inefectiveness... Changing all that both from inside and outside seems like a huge task. Can we pull it off ? Hell the Red Sox just won the World Series, I believe everything can happen now :)

You say you don't picture yourself able to handle an oral debate, questions, speaking in front of an assembly... Well, there's one thing I'm sure you can do, you can think. And it's not that easy, confidence and debate skills are something you can gain through experience.

I personally think you've got what it takes to make a difference, whatever the scale you choose. And I hope I'll live to see that :)

You're still young and you're not doing too bad so far. Keep up the good fight babe.

*hug* Thanks for that, sweetie. We really need more people like you on Earth. And you still have the cutest icon.

And hey!! I am *not* less than 4 feet tall!! I resent that :-p And y'know, said this way? A short, gay woman as President? I think it never sounded so unlikely ;)

As for the Red Sox, you've got a total point. I can't believe those wankers did it this year and not last year when I could have pretended I cared along with Bostonians!! Well, I guess if they were going for a miracle, they *had* to wait for the night of the lunar eclipse. Show-off.

Yeah, I hope we can change some stuff. I just hope I don't lose that as I grow up. It feels nice to have friends who care that much (about me and about the world, in general). You'd better be there the day I do find my way, even if it's a crappy one. I just want you around :)

PS : I am so coming to the Firefly convention and you so need to be coming too.
