We all met up at Sharon's place and relaxed for a bit before the reception. Sandra made me a kickass ham and cheese sandwich. Chris made a funny speech. Ryan came up to me then and congratulated me and sat down, he said "Ya know, I just wanted to say, about the last time, he wasn't nearly as nervous. Before I don't recall him being nervous at all. Today he was pacing and couldn't even eat. Shows how much he cares about this working out." I gave him a huge hug.
We headed over to Jennifer's, Aunt Susan bustled the back of my dress and Darren introduced everyone. It was a great crowd at the reception. Chris said an awesome speech and even included The Simpsons, haha. I hardly ate, still full of adrenaline but I was told all the food was a hit. Caesar salad to start (Thom had an orange almond salad), entree was a grilled stuffed chicken breast (Thom and Matt had a second one!) and then we had a peanut butter and chocolate decadence (which was like a brownie and the icing on top was peanut butter flavored) which was a huge hit.
Laura said her speech first congratulating us and made me cry then Ryan said his comparing us to a Disney couple which was super sweet. :) Craig toasted the parents, simple with a sweet quote. Sandra welcomed me to the family and Dad did a quick cute improvised speech welcoming Thom to our dysfunctional family, his words, haha.
Next we cut the cupcakes which everyone seemed to think was really cute and we started the dances. Thom and I danced to "Heaven" by Bryan Adams and I cried again! The wedding party danced to "With a Little Help From My Friends" by The Beatles which was really fun and Ryan was hilarious twirling Laura around. Thom danced with his mother to "Simple Man" by Lynyrd Skynyrd and they both seemed to really enjoy it. I danced with my daddy to "I'll Always Be Your Baby" by Natalie Grant and I cried yet again (thankfully the last time that night). Dad had a good laugh when I cried, a bigger laugh when I hauled out a tissue from my dress.
The garter dance was great, Thom stuck a rubber chicken and Simpsons boxers in his jacket to come out from under my dress with which got a good laugh. Carolyn (Chris' gf) caught my bouquet and Chris loves doing the garter dance so it was really funny when Ryan beat him to the garter but gave it to him anyway (think Chris would have cried otherwise). Chris' garter dance was awesome and even funnier because most people didn't know they went out and he gave Carolyn a big kiss at the end.
The rest of the night we mingled and danced. We got some more great pictures in front of the back drop, me with the guys and Thom with the girls. It was too cute to see Thom dance with his guys to "Party Rock Anthem" and I can't believe I shuffled at my wedding with Vanessa. At midnight everyone sang Happy Birthday to Jessica who turned 15. :) Laura and I did a jig and I danced with dad a lot. :) Susan with her Chris and Nancy with her Dwayne danced a lot too. I danced with most of the boys and all of my girls. I got to see Vanessa and Rebecca who I haven't seen since my nursing grad. Everyone danced! Which was so wonderful. :) Most of the older crowd didn't clear out til about 12:30am. The food trays came out at 11:30pm and the Thai Won Tons were a snatched right up.
Around 2:30am is when our night ended and Sharon brought Thom and I to the Glynmill Inn. I wore a white corset that laced up with white ribbons and a white g string for our wedding night. Thom was so ready for me, haha. We hadn't had sex in 2 weeks, I tried to make it a month but he kept seducing me. We made love twice on our wedding night and we were up late talking about the entire day.
Thom seemed to enjoy our wedding so much, he didn't seem nervous at all for the entire wedding even with the speeches, the dances and the garter dance. He loved my dress and couldn't get over my hair with curls, haha. I loved every moment. Everything went so well and I love Thom so much.
