Wednesday Thom gave me my wedding jewelry. :) A single diamond necklace and diamond earrings, to go with my engagement ring he said, it is so beautiful. He really liked the Ecodrive Citizen watch I gave him too, even got a little choked up after reading the inscription. ;)
I spent all week watching the weather! I was completely calm and doing great until the Thursday before the wedding. The weather was rattling my nerves but I think I just focused any anxiety I had about the wedding towards the weather so by Wednesday night I kept waking up, having weird dreams and the day before the wedding I was a wreck of nerves.
Thursday was disgusting, raining and cold. I packed up for CB and went to Aunt Susan's for my final fitting and to grab my dress. Started getting anxious for the wedding then, especially because of the I weather. I really wanted pictures outside but even if I forgot about all that I didn't want all my girls tramping in the wind and the rain.
I picked up Nicole and we headed into CB for the rehearsal at 7pm, I was so exhausted driving in thinking of the next few days. Had a great chat with Nicole though. Her and her jerk bf aren't doing so well and she's talking about moving to St. John's. Nicole doesn't even breathe of doing something unless she's been thinking about it for awhile so yay! *fingers crossed*
First we went over to Sharon's to drop off my dress and we both chatted with Jessica and Alysha for a bit before everyone else showed up and we headed over to the church. Everyone managed to make it except Lee and Reverend Tanya White went over the whole wedding and everyone got to meet each other. Lot more to it then anyone thought, haha. Knew I was going to cry when dad walked me down the aisle and when dad and me dance but I was surprised that I got a li'l choked up going over some of the vows.
After the rehearsal Nicole caught a ride with mom and dad home, Laura had to work on an assignment so Vanessa and Sara chased me back to Sharon's. Sharon, Sandra, Darren and the girls did their own thing and gave us run of the house. So there was me, Thom, Sara, Vanessa, Craig, Greg, Ryan, Matt, Chris and Phil. Matt and Greg gave Thom a bachelor shirt that was too big, Nicholas Cage on the front saying "Marriage is the only war in which you sleep with the enemy" and on the back "After marriage, husband and wife become two sides of a coin; they just can't face ech other, but still they stay together". We all proceeded to get sloshed, all the guys played with Darren music toys, the guys sang "Wagon Wheel", Chris sang "Hunting the Duck" to me (loves it when he sings that!) and it was a blast. :D The guys headed out to McHugh's at 1am and didn't get back til about 3:30am. The 3 of us got snockered on wine then got into Sharon's hot tub after they left. :D We were in there about an hour and a half and it was snowing out! If I wasn't so hammered maybe I would have been more upset. Reeeally wants a jacuzzi.
The next day Vanessa and I went and decorated the church then we came back to lay around with our hungover men. Craig was the sickest I've seen him. At 2pm I left to do some shopping and spend the night with my sister so we did the whole not see or talk to each other 24 hours before the wedding.
We also did the something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue. Something old and borrowed was my grandfather's tie clip that Aunt Susan sew into my dress, something new was the wedding jewelry Thom gave me and something blue was my garter.
I was pretty anxious the day before, wanted to talk to Thom and worried I forgot stuff. Really glad I got to spend the night at Laura's. We watched tv, ate junk food and I took some gravol so I would actually sleep and we went to bed early.
