We're Married! <3
We're married!!! and everything could not have went more perfectly. It was a beautiful wedding and we both loved it.
I'm capturing the whole two weeks so it's gonna be a couple posts.
On Friday, Sept 30, we didn't head home til nearly 3pm. Once we got to CB we called Ryan to crash at his place. Matt was heading back but decided to stay an extra night, we met Ryan's new friend, Robin, and he called over Greg and Tracey. We watched Batman: Under the Red Hood and proceeded to drink.
We didn't get into CB til 10:30pm so I was so excited the next morning when all the leaves were red and orange, St. John's was still yellow and green (still is). Thom, Ryan, Matt and I went to Pizza Delight for dinner then Walmart before we checked out the newly redone side of Bowater Park and it looked sooo great. I saw Laura's new very cute apartment she shares with a room mate and she showed me her new gerbal, Gerbie, which will end in her demise when mom and dad find out.
That night I tried to go to the Bay of Islands Bistro with Susan, Nancy and Aunt Pauline on West street but they were closed, didn't find out til next week that they moved to BC until Thom and I tried to go with Ryan and some guy shouted to tell us. We tried Jennifer's but they were closed for 3 weddings so we went to Sorrentos. I've only been there once before and found it mediocre but we tried their special: pork stuffed with asparagus, cream cheese and apricots served with honey glazed vegetables and baked potato. Holy awesome and a great chat with all of them. Nancy is even talking about moving to St. John's for James.
After supper we went to Sharon's, Sandra had just arrived. Spent a couple hours there (I <3 Sharon) then we went back to Ryan's. Chris and Carolyn came up this time and more drinking ensued while watching movies before we crashed at Ryan's again.
The next day we headed home and we spent Sunday and Monday out there. Mom cooked so much for me!!! I spent most of my time at Aunt Susan's getting my dress fitted. She's a miracle worker, fitted the bust, the bustle and the hem in less than 2 days. Lots of beading to deal with. Had a great visit with Aunt Mary too. Bonus, dad insured me on his new 2010 Dodge Ram truck for while I was home! :D I was pretty nervous at first but I sure missed having a truck, til it I saw that $100 only gave her half a tank.
Tuesday I went in for my hair trial and Laura and Susan came with me. Vanessa did my hair and Fallon did my make up and gel nails, so glad I had those for the wedding! After my hair was done Laura and I picked up Amanda and I treated them to supper at Jungle Jim's. We dropped Laura then grabbed coffee and had a chat before I headed home. Amanda and Brian just got engaged in December and now they're expecting a baby in about 5 months. She's really eager to get a new place and was uber excited for the wedding.
Wednesday evening is when Vanessa and Craig arrived from St. John's and wanted us to get together. Nicole came from Alberta on Sept 29, Thom and I picked her up and we headed into Stephenville for some good ol' Clancy's. Thom, me, Vanessa, Craig, Lee, Berlynn, Keith, Melissa and Chrissie grabbed a bite. Horrible driving in, gross weather, but glad we went in after. Haha, Chrissie surprised us with some Fantasia treats.
Next day was time to head into CB for the weekend, weather still horrible too.
