Almost almost...
I've been missing from the internets for a while. The end of the semester/start of the holiday shopping season is keeping me busy and insane. My final exam and final project for my 690 class (IT) had me so stressed out this week that I had insomnia for about three nights. I actually had to call in sick to work for the first time ever at this job on Tuesday because I knew I wouldn't be able to finish the at-home final if I didn't get some sleep. I am doing a lot better now. And I completed most of my work for the final project and placed it into the hands of my partner. My 650 class final project has a little more work, but it is a whole lot less difficult because it is not a computer class. I can't wait until 690 is behind me forever. More than once it made me question whether I should drop out of grad school. I am leaning towards staying in for the time being.
Next Thursday is the last day of the semester! But I get the feeling they are going to pile a lot more hours on me at work after that.
Better things! Better things! Thanksgiving was a wonderful time. I make no secret of the fact that it is my favorite holiday and this year was about as good as ever. On the Wednesday before, after a very busy day of work, me and Ed went out to my sister and brother-in-law's place and the four of us went out to dinner and a movie while my parents babysat. The dinner was Cheeburger Cheeburger, which I hadn't had since the day before Thanksgiving last year. It should probably be illegal to eat like that the day before the most gluttonous holiday of the year, but man was it delicious. I love their milkshakes so much! This year I got the birthday cake flavor.
The movie was Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 and ever since watching it I've had HP on the brain. I want to read fic and write fic and look at fanart. But I do not really have any HP fanfic ideas... or time to write them. I also have been going back and reading the past wanks and feeling all nostalgic. It should come as no surprise to anyone that knows me that I think Harry/Draco and Sirius/Remus are two of the stupidest pairings ever. I personally do not think JKR wrote Remus/Tonks just to stick it to S/R shippers but I wish they had because I think anyone dumb enough to think it was canon deserves it.
There is a growing list in my head of things to do over my winter break. I know I need to fix up the layout of my LJ because an image file has been deleted and the comment fields look awful with that tinypic message. I also need to change my icons. Fuu~
