Can you handle it???
So i was reading Miss Emily's post about the tsunami..... and it got me to thinking........ and then to discussing........ and now to maybe beleiving......
I know most of you are not big Christian fans. You probably will scroll over this next section just because it comes from the Bible.

read it. read it even if its jsut for quicks.... Read it to form an opinion. Let me know what you think. Think about this one. After reading this... and processing it... now several hours later, I have come to a very different stance on the issue than i first came up with. so here goes:
Matthew 24
3As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”
4Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. 5For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Christ’ and will deceive many. 6You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8All these are the beginning of birth pains.
9“Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. 10At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. 12Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13but he who stands firm to the end will be saved. 14And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
Think back over the past few years.....
*war- pretty much everywhere
*rumors of war- terrorism, 9-11...
*famine- were you aware that there was a famine in the countries right before the tsunami hit?
*earthquakes- there have been several major ones; most recent one triggered the tsunami. people are predicting an enormous one soon to come in the Seattle area
*and now tsunamis
Thought Emily's point about tsunamis was interesting too:
"one more note. a new discovery channel thing came on. about tsunamis. it starts out by saying 'tidal waves have been around for a long time before now.' and the best they could come up with was 1946.... thats not a long time"
i think what she was trying to say is that these series of events are dramatically increasing over the years and getting worse.....
so, tell me... what does that mean to you?
