Between the sinus headache I woke up with this morning (which seems to be mostly immune to drugs) and my inability to stop myself from constantly refreshing the RCP poll averages to assure myself that Obama is still doing ok I'm finding it very hard to concentrate on anything work related. I've been having strange restless dreams full of clashing

Dexter season 1 was truly sublime. Season 2 ... not so much, but still awesome. I'm so far behind on S3 right now it hurts.

I feel exactly the same as you do about this election. It feels lie we actually have a chance to steer the course, to speak and be heard, to do something that matters not only for us individually or as a country, but to do something that will affect the rest of the world in a positive manner.

That's pretty much what I was expecting for S2. My strategy now is to alternate S2 with other shows instead of watching the entire season in less than a week like I did with S1 in hope that the shortcomings will be less noticeable if they're spread out. I just hope it stay good enough that T is still interested 'cause it's been really fun to have a show we're both really into. That doesn't happen to often.

Yes, that's it exactly. I feel like this is a time that will be looked back on from the future as a turning point. I just really really really hope the turn is in the right direction.

I'm scared to death the outcome will be completely opposite what I want. I don't know what will happen then. Whatever it is, it can't be good.

Me too and not only because the prospect of Palin being that close to the presidency scares the shit out of me but because of the message a McCain win would send to the rest of the world. Just the thought of it fills my head with a chorus of doom doom doom.
