you know, I still need to see the second one. not that you're probably surprised by this, but. I saw the first, at least?

Haha, not really. Except that I'm always kind of surprised about the things you haven't seen. This one was better than the second, but you need to see the second one for this to make any real sense since it ends all cliffhangery (the second one that is).

I totally wouldn't have realised it was three hours long (HOW GOOD IS THAT? THREE HOURS OF PIRATES?) if there hadn't been a freaking' intermission. Srsly, who does that now.

I want meta about JACK'S TATTOOS and HIS DAD and SHRUNKEN!HEAD MOTHER and yes, wedding, hee! Love that! And that it was Barbossa who did it! And ... just ... oh, crap, still processing how much I loved this.

I know. Going in to it I was kind of worried about the longness that it would just be full of useless things to make it longer, but SO not the case. Also, there was no singing this time which is also yay. You had intermission? There was no intermission in mine. huh.

Oh, like all the different hallucination!Jacks and how their tattoos are different? Yeah. The more I think about the movie the more I realize how much I need (and want) to see it again. There was so much going on. It's been a while since I've seen a movie that was so much more than I thought it would be. It should happen more often.

AYE. I love the full circle effect of the Pirates plot. It was really satisfying. The whole thing was mythical and ethic and awe-inspiring. There was not a single boring or ugly shot in that film.

Everything about it was so very satisfying it kind of blows my mind. Especially that it could be that long and have no boring or ugliness. I really need to revive some of my Jack icons I think.
