Happy Birthday to me! Yesterday.
Saturday, after discovering that T was, in fact, staying in the city and not coming back that night from hanging with the boys I called femmenerd and didn't really need to convince her that fangirling takes precedence over everything (at least the day before my birthday, anyway). So I rushed of and picked her up and then we rented Dark Angel Season 2 and bought wine and olives and cheese and crackers and veggies and ice cream for all night nibbling.
We made it through nine episodes and went to bed just as it was starting to get light. There was much sqeeing and flailing and contemplation (or OMGwhyishe*flail*-ing) of why exactly Jensen is so fucking pretty and his eyelashes and his lips and the large number of times he takes his shirt off in the first few eps and how he's got the best smirk and does cocky and obnoxious better than like anyone and such pronouncements at four in the morning as fangirling Jensen is better than caffeine" and talk of how there should be fic where Max fucks Alec with a strap on or they just fuck and how Alec just jumps on the back of her bike with out a word 'cause he doesn't care if he's her bitch (and good god is that HOT). Exactly what I wanted for my birthday. Exactly.
So here I am, thirty, and still just as much a squealing fangirl as ever. Hoozah!
On the actually day portion of my birthday, after dropping femmenerd off, there was swimming and lazing about in the nice cool basement watching the boys play Risk and Thai food with T for dinner and a movie that turned out to be pleasantly odder and better than either of us expected (The Dissappearence of Finbar).
Also, it seems that the giant mind numbing project I've been working on will soon be done (which means that soon I'll be able to catch up on all the fic I want to read. yee!). Life is good, people. Life is good.
