Sensei shows the Rangers how he can break a marble slab, even as a guinea pig. The Rangers all try, but none of them even make a dent in the brick, just end up hurting themselves. While Sensei talks with them, Cam leaves his computer and proceeds to break the brick. The others gaze on in surprise; Dustin and Hunter think Cam switched bricks when no one was looking.

Cam: You still don't get it do you? Just because someone isn't a Ranger, it doesn't make them completely useless. I need some air.
Cam leaves.
Dustin: Do you think he's mad at us?
Shane: Dude, he's always mad at us.
Blake: What did we say?
Sensei: I fear there is more to this than mere words Blake.

Tori leaves the boys and goes outside to find Cam by the lake, skipping stones.
Tori: You alright?
Cam: Yeah, just tired of the lack of respect.
Tori: Who says you don't get any respect? Cam, everything we're able to do is because of what you're able to do.
Cam: It's not enough. I wanna be part of it.
Tori: You wanna be a Ranger. Why don't you talk to Sensei?
Cam: I have. He's forbidden me.
Tori: Forbidden you? Why?

Shane: A promise you made when Cam was a little kid. That's why you won't let him become a Ranger?
Sensei: Does one of you have something you'd like to say?
Dustin: Uh huh. I'm sorry Sensei but that's kind of weak.
Sensei: I appreciate your honesty, Dustin.
Shane: Sensei, you always taught us to make our own decisions, right?
Sensei: Yes, but as a parent, there are greater things to consider. It is far more complicated.
Blake: Seems simple enough to me. You gotta trust your son. Sir.
Hunter: Cam's the most together of all of us. Seems to me out of all people, he'd make a great Ranger.
