Earlier yesterday HBO/BBC released promo pics and media info about Parade's End, Benedict's mini-series due to air in a couple of weeks. In the release we learn that back in 2009, HBO was reluctant to sign on to the project because they felt Benedict was not famous enough to draw an audience. Just hours after reading that there he was on my TV, opening the Olympics (if one watched the BBC coverage; bite me, NBC). I'd say the guy has arrived, eh, HBO?
Seeing Benedict's Parade's End promo pics, I can't help thinking the cheek padders he wore to round his face make him look like he was caught out with food in his mouth. Is it me? Maybe I'm just too used to The Cheekbones.

ETA: Just noticed that Benedict is wearing a pinkie ring in Parade's End. Nnnngghh. I blame Napoleon for my weakness for pinkie rings on men.
