It seriously is impossible for Naruto and Bleach to both be good.
This week's Naruto was so laughably bad. My entire reaction to 397 is this:
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA no.
As expressed by icemilk, I seriously never expected even Kishimoto to pull this shit. The problem is that at some point he really did, I swear, create these really fantastic and interesting characters. Then ... he forgot how to write, IDK. I called it, anyway.
BUT BLEACH WAS REALLY AWESOME!!!
URAHARA. Looks like Ishida has you to indirectly blame for the Quincy. Ohohohohoho, Mayuri, oh, I am so pleased to see not only ambiguity in Kisuke but ah, Mayuri, he's so wonderfully creepy. I also found the entire idea of that detention facility interesting and curious and how entirely, incredibly ... oh, what's the word?
My vocabulary diminishes by the day, but I mean to intimate that somewhat futuristic, no rights, dmsakld I know there are intelligent theoretical philosophical words but all I can think of is that Tom Cruise movie.
I wonder why Kisuke decided to trust Hiyori with so much, so soon?

ACTUALLY, I did mean to reflect on Anemone from Eureka Seven, with icemilk in mind.
I remember when I pimped the series to her, I was v. excited for her to see Anemone. But it's strange, because Anemone isn't in it very much, she has a very sporadic role - but though Eureka and Renton dominate in terms of screen time, I can't help but feel Anemone leaves a stamp. It's like she peed on my rug and I can't get the smell out ): bad analogy but lol icemilk and I and eureka pee jokes.
Especially in regard to Dominic and Anemone, and their last few episodes, and the way initially I was moved but I'm evermore moved the more I look back on it. It hits me more and more and more and there is something about Anemone and Dominic and Anemone that is all about the spaces in between, the sudden, surprise realization that affection has SNUCK UP ON ME AND WTF I LOVE HER AND THEM? She grows on youuu.
Like Gulliver omg I have never loved a cute animal mascot until Gulliver.
