ok, but what if the better things look for you, the harder they are for somebody else.... i'm not a pushover, but i hate feeling like i've screwed up another person's life (even temporarily)

That's true, but how do you know/why do you think you've screwed up another person's life?...just a thought...

umm... i don't know that I have or really will, I hope not, I just...idk. I've just found that some things/feelings are a certain way and I thought that I could change them to make everybody happy and it looks like I just can't. That kinda sounds like I'm complaining and that's really not my tone. I really would've welcomed a change cause in some ways it would make things simple and easy, but it looks like that's not the way God wants things to be. I just wish I could talk to someone in the future and see how things turn out, but that would totally take the fun out of it. hmmmmm time machines... about time to watch "Back to the Future Again."

That's good that you're thinking about the other person and not just doing what makes you happy. not a lot of ppl do that/think that way and thus run into some interesting situations... i know what you mean about the time machine idea though...it's crossed my mind many a time. :)

thanks, it's kinda weird though.. .. the easy way out would make the other person happy (or at least the person thinks so) and would make me happy too, but i know it's just not right... soooo i think that, in the end, nobody would be happy.... ..more importantly I just don't feel God leading me in that direction... ( I even felt this way before another previously mentioned thing started to look like had a remote possibility of actually turning into something good... as mentioned in this actual entry. hah, that was really bad wording, but i don't know how else to say it....does it make sense?)

the first "Back to the Future" is by far the best. Ever seen the guitar solo at the end?

I think it does...i kinda re-read your entry to try to see the perspective that you were coming from but i'm not sure if your comment refers to you pursuing or not...anyway what I got from your comment was:
either pursuing it or not pursuing it, in the end, would not make either of you happy. so, you're doing what you feel God is leading you to do which is either pursuing it or not...

maybe that was even more confusing...ahhhh!

but no, I have not seen the first "back to the future". i totally should though...

I was also wondering if you've read the reaaaaalllly old entry that starts out "Today was so relaxing.... and then so.." I think it's between 20 and 30, but I'm not sure. I'm interested in what you think.

makes perfect sense. I especially like the blank canvas idea. However (getting uselessly complex here) If We can affect the path but God controls the outcome does the path matter? (yes b/c God wants us to glorify Him in our decisions... but it's still something to think about) Lets leave out right and wrong and just focus on the paths and destination. Do our decisions change the destination, or just the path? hmm....... I guess leaving out sin is pretty unrealistic, but it helps make things overly simple.

thanks! I guess I would say that, concerning paths, God can teach us different things on different paths that lead to the same outcome (confusing??) Idk, maybe that's the wrong idea.

"Do our decisions change the destination, or just the path?"

Hmmm..that's a good one. I think it could depend on the decision- whether it's a major one or not..does that kinda make sense? If God wants us to get to a certain destination, we will make sure we get there no matter what. I think our decisions will change how LONG it takes us to get there. (like the children of israel; it took them 40 years to get to where God wanted them)...maybe that did not make sense..??..
