My Day Off
Today is my day off...the only one I'll have until Thanksgiving...followed by late November and early December.
In a move that can only be defined as sheer lunacy, I skipped town and drove to KW.
I'm getting more and more impulsive of late.
Did I mention I only got 6 hours of sleep or so last night and I have to be awake at 7 am tomorrow to pick up Mash and head to school?
Oh right...and I have 1-2 more chapters of the Teaching Gap left to go before we discuss it tomorrow (no, I did not bring it to Waterloo with me).
The good news is, I feel a lot better physically and mentally. Being in a house by myself day in and day out is just lonely and depressing and occasionally terrifying. So it's nice to be around people again. AND...I manage to help Chris feed his parents, attach Gilad's extinguisher to the kitchen wall and hang some of his paintings in the living room and kitchen. So it's been productive so far.
I've also garnered a few mild hugs from the somewhat distracted Chris. I'm hoping it will improve once his parents leave.
Should I be getting my hopes up?
Oh yeah, I also finished coaster #2. It had been almost complete when I left, so completing it while the Alexanders ate lunch was cake.
