Guess who saw Megamind today? :D

Favourite Dreamworks movie now. :D :D

As a result, reading this was even better now, and yes it does seem like MM doesn't have a memory like normal children- I mean he can remember when he was 8 days old after all...

Great update, can't wait to read more!

It was AMAZING. I nactually teared up a little for both MM and minion at points (especially MM). It was also utterly hilarious. I loved the idea of not giving up and everything and the "Bernard" parts were so sweet (if... slightly wrong) too, because you know MM getting a hug and all. (Awww). And he's so socially clueless that he can't even say 'hello' on the phone and all. I'm egarely anticipating other Aus though- like Roxanne and him meeting up at school ( ... )

Yes, the "Bernard" parts were sweet, even though the lie was wrong. Oh, I love how the lie was handled--how Minion was dismayed by it, how even Megs seemed uncomfortable with it (I think when he was asking Roxanne if she'd still like him bald and if he were a primary color, he was sort of admitting he'd like to tell the truth and he knows what he's doing is wrong), how Roxanne was essentially validated for chewing Megs out for it, even though I still feel horrible for him when he's left out in the rain rejected (I think his complete sadness over that isn't just over being rejected, but also the fact that he knows he deserved that ( ... )

I almost blubbed a little at the break-up scene. Also when he and Minion broke up too even if a part of it was funny ( ... )

Ohman, I think the break-up in the rain's my favorite scene? It was so sad AND well done, visually and acting and everything.

And yeah, Minion and Megamind's break-up was sad too (though broken up with some humor, i.e. "That doesn't even make sense!" "I know!" XD). Felt even more sad and Megamind returns expecting/hoping Minion's back, and he's not there. ;_;

Second like everything you said about Metro Man. Yes, Metro Man changed from mean kid to a more complicated individual and someone who could/should definitely be BFF with Megamind. They do have things in common, what with both being ejected from their planets to avoid the black hole, they're both kinda sad, and both I think deep down just wanted to be normal....

Do you think you'll write and MM fic?

Ooh, since you know both films now, could I bounce off MM/MI ideas off you sometime? Actually, on that note, do you have any comparisons between MI and MM?

I felt that was a pretty realistic aspect to the film,

Which part? Sorry for getting lost there. ^^;

I hope to write fic! I do have an idea relating to Warden and a teenage MM at least, just a one shot, but it could work in it's own weird way. Some humour and sap, mostly from the Warden's perspective though ( ... )

I kind of think in my own way, Randall also needed someone to believe in him, and things might have been different/. Waternoose was certainly no father figure to the guy, and no-one seems to care he's gone in the original movie. Sadly, I think at one stage Sulley might have been that someone in the MI universe. I think in another universe they could have been friends but things didn't work out in that way, mainly because Randall completely misunderstands Sulley. I kind of suspected that since Waternoose treats him shabbily, he considers Sulley's nice guy image to be a fake and a joke, even though it really isn't. Maybe with Indigo he might see it a bit differently, but he still might suspect that ( ... )

I apologise for all the typos. You must thing I'm an idiot! But I generally find this exciting and all and my spelling becomes even worse when that happens!

LOL, I was actually thinking Boo would be Roxanne's cousin. About the only similarity I can think of is their brown hair, though come to think of it, they both to be somewhat fearless. I was essentially thinking I'd also play with the idea of Scarers possibly doing 'families' to an extent, like Randall scared both "Boo"/Mary and Roxanne. But then Kid!Roxanne becomes a dead door in a way similar to her movie canon, with asking Randall all sorts of questions once she realizes the monster that repeatedly comes to her room won't hurt her and it's becoming sort of predictable (I think Randall would actually be amused by this since he's never been asked questions like this by a human kid). And then when Boo goes missing it's Roxanne that goes looking for her in the Monster World, and she runs into Kid!Megamind/"Indigo" instead. Then even more echoes of canon when he tries to scare her like Randall, but that doesn't work. Then they make a deal after they talk, and Megs' devises a costume for her and plans to help her find Boo. I ( ... )

I think I like your Roxanne as a cousin idea better actually, it was just a random thought. Plus LOL Metroman and older!Boo dating, I can dig it. I think this sort of thing would be good for both Metroman and Megamind. I mean when you think about it Metroman didn't really have friends. Just groupies ( ... )

I was trying to think of another reason for Roxanne to start throwing stuff at Metro Man...and then it occurred to me that her discovering Metro's been dating her 'baby' cousin was a LULZY reason ( ... )

Ooh, that's an interesting idea: that after dealing with Waternoose and his "nice" facade if maybe Randall thought Sulley was also putting on a fake image, especially with the connection Waternoose and Sulley seemed to have.

Yeah. I just guess that Waternoose gives off the grandfather like image, while Sulley is like your favourite Uncle, but in the end that's a lie on Waternooses end, but not Sulley's. Randall unfortunatly knows W's true self and hence suspecting Sulley would make sense to me, esepcially since yes they seem close too- Sulley seems to have the relationship Randall may have wanted but in the end, W really didn't even care that much himself for Sulley. He's mad he banished his 'top scarer' not Sulley himself. That's actually something Sulley partially shares with Metroman actually- except for him the cape was all anyone saw, Sulley at least had other people, but I think it was worse for Sulley because he saw W like a father and genuinely cared for him. Which is why W exiling them and revealing his true nature is perhaps one of the greatest moments for Pixar I think for me, even if they have used the good guy-> actually bad guy thing a bit much at points ( ... )
