Tracy Loves LP
So, last nite was pretty cool.. We went to go see our favorite bartender LP play.. I invited my old buddy Mike to come.. he came with his new gf.. and she couldn't get in because she was underage.. how sad.. I felt kind of bad actually.. but what can u do right?
We walked in and it was venomously packed. I had went a few weeks before.. and it was a nice sized crowd.. last nite it was insane.. we got up near the stage thank god.. but people kept pushing up front.. It was so packed that Nickels couldn't even get up to us.. she was stuck against the wall in the back with venomous frat boys.. LP was like.. "ahh every mother fucker shows up on the last day eh?"
She played about 11 songs.. I love the new tunes. they are fab.. For some reason her new guitarist wasnt there.. and the old one was.. he friggen blew out my left ear drum... I think I need to start wearing ear plugs for AR/LP shows.. Or I will become deaf... I miss seeing Ferrick/Malone/Nini/Edie/Trina.. folky people who dont blow out my drums..
So after we pushed our way out of there.. and went outside.. Rainee was venomous and hot.. we walked to Sandobe to get sushi.. We had this cool Japanese 22 oz beer.. it was pretty good.. Nikki and I had our sushi fix.. and the waiter comes over and puts SAKI down on the table and babbles shit.. apparantly Nikki is an interpretor cuz she said he said.. the guy in the back got this for u.. I hear my name.. its Mike.. that insane child got us that venomous drink.. I did not have any.. Nikki took some shots.. Rainee was afraid of it.. We had some nice convo and left..
We encountered crazy weird traffic on the BQE.. Nikki and I kept screaming how we hate Brooklyn.. I felt really bad because they were taking me home.. and I knew they were tired.. But I had fun chillin with a tire in the back and DJ-ing some LP/Lionfish stuff on Nikkis elaborate audio system..
