Where did they go? [A brief sigh] So much for that desire. Was probably a weaker one anyway.

[The coin he was holding is now mysteriously gone despite that fact it was in plain view moments ago. He ( Read more... )

I'm sorry to tell you that you'll find it very different from many city's.

This place has already made me curious. Mind sating that desire for me? What is this place? It looks like it shouldn't even exist to begin with.

I've been here for a long time and it's still curious. This is the City.

And since we're here it's save to say that it does exist, except it's between worlds.

...and because of that it takes people from their worlds.

The City? Interesting naming. Won't insult it because it's straight to the point at least.

Takes people? Huh. Sate my curiosity again. What's the return rate like?

I'm afraid I don't know the answer to that one.

Nah. Seems appropriate from what I can gather. Overly important. Aristocratic in some way. Doesn't mind trampling the peasants beneath it to get to its goal. Seems like a decent personification of this... monolith of a place. I don't think it needs any truer of a name.

Huh. Better question then. Does anyone ever go "home"?

People leave. No one knows where they go. I hope they go home.

Do they ever come back, or is it a one way trip?

When they come back from wherever they go...few remember.

You're welcome.

I'm Susan, Susan Pevensie. There are so many strange things about this place but my brothers and sister and myself have managed to make a home of it.

I'm [Use a real name? Use a false name? A pseudonym? Pseudonym.] Rio. I am pleased to make your acquaintance Miss Pevensie.

You have biological family here, if I am assuming right... Is it unusual to see other figures from your own "world" here?
