His mother cries herself to sleep, his father's hand on her shoulder. They comfort each other. Their other son, and their daughter, both are uncharacteristically quiet, their brother potentially dead with no explanation.
The other woman -- she remembers Riku very well.

She feels his mother's pain. She understands, though having no children of her own.
(mom, we're going out to the island -- save some supper for me, kay?)
She wonders where the hole in her heart came from, and why she can hear the voice of a son she never had.
