34 students and a long semester remaining
I finally continued reading Battle Royale this morning. I was reading about blood and brains gushing out of 3rd year students from Japan while eating breakfast. LOL. Okay.
Anyway~ The reason why I have only been able to read that wonderful book is because classes have just started.
First Week Impressions and stuff worth mentioning
I’d like to believe my semester is going to be fun. I have to admit I was excited the night before because I knew that I would be taking a lot of major subjects this semester. I was even willing to bear with the down schedule just to enjoy it.
And as if to confirm or encourage my line of thinking. The moment I walked into the train that first day morning. I saw someone (Okay. He was seriously in front of me the moment I stepped into the train-shining and all//bricked) and I jumped for joy - not literally LOL. That would be embarrassing. But you might as well know that feeling, and I’m sure you have a guess who that someone was. I mean, I don’t have to go into how we met 4 years ago and how we’re still going to the same school today right? No. But you get the point, that he’s a crush. And I don’t have to say how happy I am that of all the trains that would pass that station every 5 mins. I feel so blessed.
Tap Dance was fine. My teacher looked stern at first but It turned out all right. Besides, she's already assured us “I only bark, but I don’t bite.”
EDR was.. okay. Interesting since it’d be a lot harder to teach reading and understanding how it works from learning how to read. And during our second meeting, which was last Thursday - we studied the evolution of language and writing. WE TRIED TO READ PICTURE WRITING. It was nerve-racking. NOW I KNOW how 4-year olds feel when we force them to try to decipher those letters that don’t even make sense to them.
BTW, our professor is new. It’s her first time to teach in the university. And I wasn’t familiar with her face. But the next morning. I WAS WITH HER IN THE KATIPUNAN JEEP. And I DIDN’T EVEN GIVE HER A GLANCE UNTIL WE BOTH WENT DOWN AT EDUC. And I’m like… “is she my teacher.” . LOL. I pretended to be late so I never got to greet her. I just ran past her and into my class. OTL to ashamed to acknowledge her too late.
And then last Friday I got to be in the same jeepney again with her. LOLOL. What is DESTINY. This time though, I talked to her. Cause I was thinking she might be nervous in herself - first time in the school and all - and is still conscious whether her students would like her or not.
She reminds me of my HS English teacher, who at first I resented cause I thought she was boring but she was the closest to me by the time I graduated.
BREAKTIME 11:00-2:30 Just chilling out there with my friends.
EDTECH ah~ the computer lab. It’s all that matters. I only have one quote from my professor. He cracked it during the introductions because we were supposed to talk about something we like or love and my classmate couldn’t think of anything. LOL: “Show me your passion OR ELSE I’LL SHOW YOU MINE.”
And with that. I believe you have a pretty good idea what my professor in Instructional Media Resources is like. *winks*
EDL 105 is.. the heart stopper. (Whatever that means.) Our professor looked stern and all. He tried to crack a few jokes during his prep talk but no one laughed. O_O
I don’t know. LOL.
He is a very diligent teacher. I CAN TELL. He wants respect in class. Not the typical professor who’d let you do anything while he’s talking up front.
He didn’t pop up this Thursday though~ So we haven’t really started lectures yet. Thus, I have nothing else to say. HAHAHHAHA.
EDL 111 is , if not for the time slot (5:30-7:00) is tiring. *crazy dance* LOL. Especially when we’re a wandering class. OTL. We have no room assignment apparently.
I’m glad it’s fixed now though. But we use a different room everyday. XDD
ALSO, we were surprised to find, during the second meeting last Thursday that we have a new professor. And most of my classmates weren’t happy about it. I heard (LOL. What is eavesdropping) one of them say that the reason why she postponed taking this subject is so that she could wait for current prof. to retire… only to find out that ~ YEAH. YOU GET THE GIST.
I actually thought I was in for it when I saw her - stern and all. But when we got to the lesson I realized she smiles as well. //bazooka’ed. AND SHE’S VERY PROFESSIONAL. JUST SAYING.
I guess I’ll be fine - hopefully.
When I got to Recto Tuesday night, all vehicles were full. I had to ride on the parallel street. And it was full of people - students and not students ready to take some money away. LOL
I got to ride the right jeep though, but someone gripped on the back of my head as if they were going to pull my hair. When I turned the jeepney was already moving and I didn’t see who it was. OTL
I could still feel the person’s fingers on my scalp minutes later and couldn’t help but wince. I don’t wear necklaces so he/she had nothing to take from me through a jeepney’s wide window.
Anyway~ I got home fine. And still classify my first day as great. HAHAHA. what is stubborn.
HOME IN THE EVENING TO FIND LAPTOP EXHAUSTED BY PARENTS. =))) BALTHIER GOT RAEPED.
EDUC 190. Ah~ 3 1/2 hours of chill in the computer lab. LOL. I got the last slot for this class when I prerog-ed. So I HAVE NO REGRETS. I’ll take on everything and anything. //bazooka’ed
We spent the first meeting memorizing our classmates’ names. SRSLY. We had this Person BINGO game and right after our professor called us one by one to name our classmates. WE SPENT LIKE 2 hours that way. AT LEAST HE CARES ABOUT CAMARADERIE. //shot
And the next meeting we spent the first 3 hours doing the same thing. Then proceeded to lecture~ on the syllabus and whatnot that was usually discussed during the first day of classes. But he says the first day should be for getting to know.. AND WHO AM I TO ARGUE?
Again. It’s a computer class so I’m just standing there and LOL. EDTECH + EDUC190. They’re enough to counter my language subjects. *claps hand*
LUNCH BREAK LOL. Planned on going to Katips for lunch but researched too long in the library. WHAT IS DILIGENT STUDENT.
ANTHRO10. I have doubts on my professor’s sexuality. Should I ask? Anyway~
We have groupings again. O_O I already have groups for Educ 190 and EdTECH. LOL. What is overbooked. I’ve never had much groupwork last year. Which reminds me I still haven’t made the FB groups for them. *shot*
Uhmm.. the subject is perfectly fine. Our second session consisted of the words PLAYBOY, arousal, g-strings, etc.
And he explained to the class how a bahag is much more convenient to wear. TRULY- He actually seemed as if he was advertising it .Saying stuff like “protected,” '”secure,” and “soft.”
So anyway. This was all brought about by a picture of a native person reading a PLAYBOY Magazine on the top of a mountain. So yeah. He brought the picture to help introduce ANTHROPOLOGY. Which.. If I learned my lesson right is what comes up when two different cultures collide.
Anyway~
ANOTHER BREAK. spent sleeping at the CAL Library.
ENG12. AH~ WORLD LITERATURES. This was the professor that e-mailed me the link to his site and all other stuff the moment pre-eprofnlistment was done. LOL. I wasn’t even enrolled yet at the time.
He’s similar to my EDL 105 professor. ONLY MORE STRICT. But he’s more dedicated as well. He’s willing to spend for the student’s textbook if the student can’t afford it. Which he compiled himself. Assuring us there won’t be anymore~ And he has all his lectures in an mp3 format. He says we could listen to them while on the road - on the way to an exam. LOL.
He doesn’t want to be seen as a teacher. BUT MORE A TOURIST GUIDE. He will “tour us around the world to get a glimpse of literatures that touch on the questions … what it’s like to live...”
LRT BROKE DOWN LAST THURSDAY BTW. Had a good time finding my way home - rode the right jeepney and the wrong bus before I finally met our front gate.
AND ANOTHER THING. LAST THURSDAY DURING MY LONG BREAK. CLASSMATES AND I WENT TO KNL. =)))) And I got my first taste of BAGSILOG. I ate the whole thing but still refuse to say it’s delish~ HAHAHAHAHA. //bricked.
Yesterday. I wasn’t able to get readings because I didn’t have extra money on me. OTL I feel so bad. Now I have nothing to read to prepare myself for class this Tuesday.
LOL. And believe it or not. I hate it when I don’t get to read ahead of class. I’ve been like this since last year. I just don’t want to pass on the opportunity. //wrists
PLUS. Eng12 dismissed as early so I went back to my college and helped fix the boards for today’s FWAS. *crazy dance* I got home the same time I was supposed to get there on a TTH with a dismissal of 7. *batting eyelashes*
