Project A-Kon Report Part 2
And so I finally continued my Project a-Kon report. Enjoy!
- Friday
Me and my brother were the first to wake up between the group at 7am. We got ourselves ready and looked around the con during those early hours. My brother promised he will be one of the first to be in front of Fred Perry's table at the AP booth so he waited at the line the whole time until 11am. During the time, I did met fellow WLP message board member Wizard of Odd and FA artist Daq of Happy Jackal Productions. Wiz had his laptop with him to wait in on the line for the Dealer's room so he let me play his NeoRageX emulator. An yes, I was almost invincible at KoF '98. Almost because on the first tries I was trying to get used with the control pad. But after that, no one could beat me when I had Shingo, Terry, and Yuri. Let me say fromm all the KoF characters I play, Shingo rocks! Sure, he is a Kyo admirer but I love his critical hits in Extra mode and funny moves.
I went to the komik market and firts went to the WLP table. I helped out by setting up the shirts they were selling. I especially love the WLP allegiance which is a boob lover version of the allegiance to the American flag. It was even taped at the party so here's the link to the video.

I first requested BAR-1 to do a pic of Grape and my avatar-self getting it on. Same thing for Kozou Shimokata by requetsing him to draw each of my girls. Other artists I met at the market were Ivan Flores, The-Z from DA, and Robbie Allen (Impy and Aevy creator which I met him before back 3 years ago). My brother waited for so long but the Dealer's room was finally opened. We rushed to the AP table and met up with Fred Perry and Ben Dunn. I had a good talk with them and it was great to meet up again. Finally, we set up our commissions carefully, especially since Fred had made some new rules the last time we requeste dhim at last year's Otakon. I only requested one pic for myself and one for Lordcoyote while my brother managed to request Kanti's pic and his pics. For a long time, I finally decided to request Ben Dunn as well. So far, I gotten one pic from him. Was going to get another one, but he delayed enough on it for me to try to contact him by email about it. The rest of the time, I looked through the dealer's room, had some snacks, goen back to the komik market until it was time for the WLP party at our room. Had a wonderful time at the party. Watched hilarious movies from BAR-1, Bad American Dubbing provided by Kris Overstreet, watched the Vincent Price, Steve Martin, and Carol Burnett episodes of the Muppet Show, and joined in the WLP match game. For the end of the party, some hentai movies were shown but I went to bed during the time. Wanted to be ready for Saturday.
