3 years of Abscence and 3rd times the charm: A Project A-Kon Report Part 1

Just got back from Project A-Kon. Let me tell you it was greta going back there after my last visit 3 years ago. Got tons of pics for this yera. I had an overhaul this time it must be the a new record for me on having the most commissions in one con. Let's cut tothe chase and get to the report.
- Thursday
My brother and I were ready for our trip and gotten all the essentials that we need. Before we headed to the airport, we need to take care a few things first. First, we taken out the necessary money and filled up the gas for our car. We arrived to the airport safely and parked our car at the long-term parking garage. Once we gotten to our seats of our plane, I realized I left my ATM card at the machine. Damn it! But it was taken care of. I called my bank and informed the problem. They cancelled my lost card and sent me a new one in about a week. At least my brother promised to loan me some money and pay him back once I get my new ATM card. In more than 2 hours, we arrived safely at DFW airport. The airport has gotten bigger during our abscence. Guess they're really aiming in becoming the biggest airport in the states...maybe even, the world, mwa ha ha ha! Ahem... We got our luggage and took a shuttle bus to the hotel. Gotten a call from BAR-1 informing that he and Kris Overstreet are stuck on the way to the back to the hotel since Kris's truck has a broken transmission. This is something no one deserve during the con. Still, gotten our room number and had a call from buck39 and 3pyon saying they already at the hotel. Once we arrived, we headed to our room, left our stuff there and went for a round-a-bout to get familiar with the hotel.
Gotten a call from buck again and told me how to meet. And my surprise, we finally meet and it was very unexpected for me but he is the same person I talk to by AIM. It was great meeting him and told us about our dinner hang out for tonight. As soon me and my bro took care of picking up our pre-reg stuff, we met buck and 3pyon at the meeting spot. To our surprise, we ain't the only who will be having dinner together. We me tup with Steve Bennett, Rob from Studio Rob, AP's Joe Wright (Twilight X), Kozou Shimokata and Sakai Hamachi of Japanese doujinshi fame with their translator. All together we formed a group that I personally call... The Gohan Club!!!

We were going to eat at Hooters but the place was packed since no one doesn't want to leave until they're done watching the first game of the NBA Finals. I hate it when that happens and worse when the Miami Heat lost to the Dallas Mavericks by 10 points. Still, we did ate at a great Italian restaurant called the Spaghetti Warehouse. The food was great. Had bread with garlic butter mozzarella sticks and a grilled sirloin with sauteed mushrooms with a side order of spaghetti with tomato sauce. Best food I ever had. During our dinner, we had a great conversation from telling funny stories to sharing our interests and ideas. I was honored to talk to Kozou Shimokata himself since I love his work of doujinshi anthologies and his original series ranging girls with humongous breasts to ones with male organs. To clear things, I do not like futanari. Give old fashioned bakunyuu and yuri any day. After dinner, we headed back to our rooms and rested up for the first dya of the con.
