Sam tried not to let Brooke’s words affect her. But even twenty-four hours later, sitting at the table surrounded by Kat’s family and friends, they still haunted her. She’d lain awake in bed the previous night, tracing her fingers over the lips that Brooke had so thoroughly enjoyed hours earlier. They’d still tingled. And her guilt over not only the kiss, but the little thrill she was still getting had only grown as Kat shifted closer to her and sighed.
By the time she’d gone back down to the table, everyone was pretty much done with their food and Brooke was sitting cuddled with Cara on the couch as they talked to Mac. The blonde had refused to even acknowledge her presence for the rest of the evening, and when Kat had finally arrived for them, Brooke and Cara had hugged like the two of them could barely stand the thought of being separated even for a second. Every attempt Kat had made at conversation during the flight or drive from the airport had been politely rebuffed, and eventually Sam had just feigned sleep.
As she lay awake in the bed, she’d replayed the scene over and over again, trying to understand her reaction to Brooke’s “assault.” She came to the conclusion that, while she was definitely over her blond ex-wife, a part of her would always have that reaction to someone that had been her first. But that thought had just led to her to remembering her first time…
Sam and Brooke walked hand in hand through the park having one of those great conversations about everything and nothing at all. They’d been dating for almost five months, and Sam had never been happier. After nearly losing the blonde to Nicole’s reckless driving, she thanked God everyday for her quick reflexes.
Just as they’d made their way half way through the park, it started to rain, not just rain, but pour, soaking both the girls through. They turned and looked at each other for a moment in total shock. Brooke looked ridiculous with make-up running down her face, and Sam hadn’t been able to hold back her laughter. As the blonde moved towards her menacingly, she took off running. They ran around like lunatics, while everyone else was running for cover. Eventually Brooke’s athletic training beat out Sam’s natural stamina and the blonde caught her, tackling her to the ground.
“What were you saying?” She asked pinning the squirming brunette beneath her.
“I said that you look…you look…my God, Brooke you look beautiful.” Sam said almost in awe, and she meant it. There in the park with rain running down her face and from her hair, Brooke was absolutely beautiful, and Sam couldn’t help but stare at her.
“So are you,” Brooke whispered right before she’d lowered her lips to Sam’s. The kiss was gentle, a light brushing of the lips. Sam tangled her fingers in Brooke’s long hair, bringing them closer as she deepened the kiss. She let her tongue trail the seam of Brooke’s mouth, causing the blonde to whimper. She parted her lips to let Sam in and their tongues danced in a slow, sensuous rhythm that left them both breathless.
“Brooke, I think maybe we should move this home, before we really give the people a show.” Sam said breathlessly.
Brooke quirked her eyebrow at this, “Is there a show to give them?” She asked in a husky tone.
“I think so.” Sam said in a serious tone, answering the blonde’s silent question. Hazel eyes looked down at her filled with love, and Sam felt very confident in her decision.
Brooke stood up and offered her hand to the brunette and the two of them walked silently back to the car and headed home. Sam took Brooke’s hand and led her up to her bedroom. She closed and locked the door behind them, in case their parents decided to come home early. The two stood there for a moment, gazing at each other, silently asking which should make the first move. Sam took her hand once again and led her to the bed. She cupped Brooke’s cheek gently, staring into her hazel eyes.
“Are you sure?” Brooke whispered.
“More than ever” Sam replied before bringing their lips together. The kisses were long and slow, one beginning before the last one ended. She let her lips travel along Brooke’s chin and down to her neck nipping and sucking tenderly along the way. She paused to pull the blonde’s shirt over her head, and then nipped along her collarbone. She unhooked Brooke’s bra and slid it off of her body. Sam pulled back to look at Brooke’s body, and even though it wasn’t the first time she’d seen it, it was still just as beautiful. Her skin was creamy, like warm milk, and her breasts were small and perky, and, Sam knew from past experiences, fit perfectly in her hands. She cupped the right globe in her hand, gently squeezing as she brought her thumb around to brush the rose colored nipple. Brooke exhaled the breath she’d been holding, as Sam lowered her head and flicked the puckered nipple with her tongue. She sucked it gently into her mouth, and brought her other hand up to the other breast, pinching the nipple as she raked her teeth across the one that currently occupied her mouth. That earned her a loud moan from the blonde, and Brooke began to pull at her shirts. After several frustrated attempts, Sam finally relented, pulling back so that Brooke could lift her shirts from her body. It seemed Brooke couldn’t remove them fast enough, causing Sam to chuckle.
“Need help, Princess.”
“I will never for the life of me understand why you wear so many clothes.” Brooke almost growled. Once she had the offensive clothing off of Sam’s body, she pushed the brunette down on the bed and straddled her hips.
“My, my, someone’s excited,” Sam said with a smirk.
“You would be too, if you’d waited five long months to make love to your gorgeous girlfriend,” she said, as she kissed her way down Sam’s neck to her chest.
“I did,” Sam husked. She lost all ability to say more when she felt Brooke’s mouth close over her nipple. She lost herself in the sensations that the blonde was causing deep within her, and almost pitched forward when she felt Brooke’s hands sliding up her thighs. Brooke undid the fly to her pants and slid them off of her body, never breaking contact with Sam’s beautiful breasts. She pulled back and stared down at the brunette, her hazel eyes almost black with arousal. Sam felt even more moisture gather between her legs at the look on Brooke’s face. She’d never seen it before. The blonde looked…hungry, and Sam was pretty sure she was the only thing on the menu.
“Have I ever told you how beautiful you are? Brooke whispered.
“Only about seven times today,” Sam answered playfully. “But it’s only fair that we even things up here.”
Brooke chuckled, before standing and undoing her skirt. She lowered the khaki fabric along with her CK thongs and stood up for Sam’s approval. She noticed that the brunette’s gaze had turned decidedly feral, and she smirked. “See something you like?”
“Oh most definitely,” Sam answered crawling up to the standing blonde.
“What’s that?” Brooke husked out.
“You,” Sam replied before pulling the blonde towards her and sliding her tongue in the cheerleader’s belly button. It was as if she’d pressed the secret button that unleashed Brooke’s passion, because she suddenly found herself flat on her back and the blonde kissing her way down Sam’s stomach, bathing the brunette’s navel with her tongue and guiding Sam’s thighs apart. She kissed down the tops of Sam’s thighs and then ran her tongue up the insides, her tongue tasting the hint of Sam’s arousal that had run down her thighs.
Sam’s normally extensive vocabulary was reduced to nothing more than pants and moans and nonsensical words, and when the blonde’s tongue slid across the bundle of nerves that she kept so well hidden, she knew she was gone. Brooke’s tongue was everywhere, causing sensations she’d only dreamed about. When she was sure Sam was close to the edge, she sucked the quivering girl’s clit into her mouth, and as Sam felt herself shattering into a million pieces, shouting out the blonde’s name for all she was worth, Brooke slid her fingers deep inside of her, stealing Sam’s virginity and causing aftershocks to rock the brunette’s body.
“Tell me again why we waited five months to do that,” Sam joked once she’d gotten her breathing under control.
Brooke chuckled. “You were pretty amazing.”
“Me? Are you kidding? Where did you learn to do that?” Sam asked looking over at the blonde she loved more than life itself.
“I didn’t ‘learn’ it anywhere. I just went with my instincts.” Brooke said shyly as she wrapped her arms around her girlfriend.
“Wow, those are some instincts.” Sam said cuddling closer to the girl.
“How was it? I didn’t hurt you did I?” Brooke asked, worrying her lip.
“You were perfect. I barely felt the sting.” Sam replied easing the blonde’s mind.
“Good, I mean I figured if I waited until you were…you know. That it would be the best way to spare you the pain.”
“It was. Thank you for being so considerate.” Sam replied. “That’s why I love you so much.” Sam said kissing Brooke lightly on the lips. Then she smirked at the blonde, meeting her eyes. “Now, I think I’d like to thank you properly,” she drawled, running her fingertips up and down the blonde’s arm.
She rolled Brooke onto her back and paid homage to every last bit of skin she could, causing her to become a writhing, quivering mess by the time she lowered herself between Brooke’s legs. The first taste of Brooke intoxicated Sam, and she became like a crazed woman dying of thirst. She couldn’t get enough of the blonde. Her tongue found Brooke’s bundle and as she sucked it into her mouth and bathed it with her tongue, she slid her two fingers into the blonde, earning a low moan from deep within Brooke’s throat. Touching the blonde this intimately was heady. Feeling Brooke around her fingers and hearing her name tumbling from the blonde’s lips turned Sam on immensely.
“Sam, please…” Brooke panted, and Sam sucked harder, sliding her fingers deeper. When she curled her fingers upward and grazed Brooke’s clit with her teeth, the blonde’s body froze. “SSSSSAAAAMMMM…” cut through the silence as her body convulsed almost violently. Sam moved up the blonde’s body, wrapping her arms around the quivering girl, and whispering words of love in her ear.
“Where did you learn that?” Brooke asked between breaths.
“I didn’t. It was ‘instinct,’” Sam joked, running her fingers through the blonde’s damp hair.
“That’s some instinct,” Brooke joked back with a chuckle. She turned and looked Sam in the eye, her hazel gaze turning serious. “You are the most amazing person I have ever met, and I am so lucky to have you in my life.”
Tears sprang to Sam’s eyes at her words. “And I am lucky to be in your life, and as long as there’s breath in my body, I know that I will love you,” Sam had whispered as she kissed Brooke with all the emotion she had in her being.
They’d made love for the rest of that evening, and by the time they fell into an exhausted sleep, Sam knew every part of Brooke’s body better than her own.
The little trip down memory lane had left Sam feeling even guiltier and not a little bit frustrated. She tossed and turned the rest of the night, only falling asleep at the first show of daylight, and even her dreams were haunted by the blonde with hazel eyes. And now she sat at the table with her fiancée’s family and couldn’t keep her mind off of her ex-wife. If she had she would have noticed that Cara hadn’t eaten a single thing on her plate, but had simply pushed it around until no one noticed, and then emptied it in the trash.
