Title: Over and Over
Rating: PG
Pairing: Finn/Quinn (mentions of Quinn/Puck, Rachel/Finn, Santana/Finn, Quinn/Mike)
Summary: Two ficlets done in the style of the iTunes meme.
Disclaimer: haha...please. If I owned them, they'd so do it every chance they got.
A/N: Written specifically for DangerCW who wanted Fuinn(or Fabson) ficlets. I might complete the five. Maybe not, but here are the first two. Unbeta'd because my beta is currently in class and I'm impatient. So all mistakes are mine. I hope you enjoy.

Goodnight, Goodnight - Maroon 5

Everyone always tells him what a great guy he was. How much he should be patted on the back and commended for stepping up and marrying Quinn right after high school. He did what Puck couldn’t do right? He was a man. Only he doesn’t feel much like a man. He’s pretty sure his wife doesn’t like him very much. He has this job he hates. He started it when they were eighteen and starting out, but it’s ten years later and he’s still there. There’s never enough money. They fight all of the time and he drinks way too much.

Finn’s pretty sure Katherine hates him too, but that’s okay. Some days he’s not so fond of her either. She’s twelve years old and the spitting image of her mother, disapproving looks and all. They fight almost as much too. She’s got a smart mouth and a condescending tone. And he wonders where that sweet little girl he used to carry around on his shoulders went.

No one warned him it would be like this. That the child he promised Quinn he’d be there for no matter what would just remind him that ,even years later, he’s still never going to compare to Puck. That he still managed to do the one thing that Finn couldn’t do. Give Quinn a child. Not that Puck stuck around. No, he’s off living it up. Rumor has it, his band just got a recording deal and he’s far from being the Lima Loser everyone said he’d be.

But everyone tells Finn he got the better deal. He knows for a fact, that isn’t true. Puck’s living the life he should have and he’s stuck here in Lima with no way out but the front door. They wouldn’t tell him he was a man if they knew that everyday he thought about leaving. They wouldn’t think he was the man if they knew that tomorrow he’d be gone.

Signed, Sealed, Delivered - Stevie Wonder

After Finn openly rejects her then flaunts Rachel in her face junior year, Quinn swears off dating. Boys are just too much work and she didn’t give that baby away just to end up hung up on another guy. She’d learned her lesson and for the rest of eleventh grade, she stirs clear of Puck, Finn and any other guy that might show an interest.

Senior year arrives and she and Finn ended up partnered together in one of their elective classes. She can’t remember the last time they’d had a conversation, but working together on projects take the awkward moments and turn them into comfortable silences. And soon it’s like no time has passed at all. They start to hang out after school and sit next to each other in Glee. She helps him with his college essays and waits with nearly as much anticipation as he has for his letter from Ohio State to come. They celebrate his acceptance by going out for pizza and at the end of the night, he hugs her tight before she gets out of the car. She spends hours laying in bed agonizing over the embrace, but tell herself they’re just friends.

He and Rachel break up a week before Valentine’s Day and he tells her she’s the first one he called. They spend most afternoons together and when the most romantic night of the year arrives, she blows off a date with the guy she’s been kind of seeing and goes to his house and watches boring movies she hates with him. That night, he kisses her cheek and tells her he’s glad they’re friends again. His words make her feel funny inside. Of course she’s glad they’re friends again, but she’s kind of sad that they’ll never be more because of one mistake she made almost three years ago.

Days turn into weeks and weeks into months and it’s suddenly prom night. He somehow ends up going to with Santana, much to Quinn’s annoyance because she knows her former best friend is only going with him because she thinks he’ll be the perfect accessory in her prom pictures and Quinn accepts Mike Chang’s shy invite because he’s nice and she knows he isn’t expecting more than maybe a quick peck on the cheek at the end of the night. Rachel shows up with Puck and Quinn almost winces when Finn’s expression drops. Santana doesn’t look too pleased either and as she stalks off in their direction, Quinn excuses herself and walks over to Finn, asking him to dance. She smiles at him and tells him that Rachel knew she’d get a reaction from him and that’s why she showed up with Puck. She makes a joke that after everything she put him through sophomore year that he shouldn’t waste his time with girls that play games. She excludes his date for the evening because Quinn isn’t trying to have a fight with Santana tonight and is relieved when he smiles and nods at her. She ignores the pang she feels when she watches him kiss Santana in the middle of the dance floor and then follow her out the door. She just focuses on joining the rest of glee, minus Finn, Puck, Santana and Rachel, out up on Look Out point for the rest of the night. She also ignores the one she feels when he and Santana rejoin the group for breakfast at the Happy Daze Diner hours later and he has this permanent grin plastered to his face.

Graduation day is surprisingly emotional for the original members of New Directions. They all sneak into the choir room for a round of hugs and tears. She watches as Finn pull a very tearful Rachel into a tight embrace and she wonders if she was crying as much if he’d hug her like this. She’s already pretty tearful, but she could really pull out all the stops if it will get him to look at her that way.Brittany hugs her and so does Mike, distracting her from the scene. When she turns around again, Santana’s smiling up at Finn in a way that makes Quinn’s stomach turn, but thankfully Mr. Schue is hurrying everyone out of the door and she’s just about to step outside when a hand wraps around her wrist and stops her. She turns and Finn’s wearing that goofy smile he used to have when they sat next to each other in the fifth grade because of how close their last names were in the alphabet.

“What?” She asks.

He smiles brighter and kind of shrugs before leaning forward and brushing his lips against her so softly that they’re gone before she has time to register what’s happened. She lifts her hand to her lips and looks up at him in surprise. The grin is still firmly on his face and she finds herself returning it.

“Come on. Let’s go graduate,” he says, tugging her out of the room.
