Book reading complete (including many instances of getting distracted).  I shall now go off and be a proper fangirl.  Well, right after I have a smoke and refill my drink.  And find an extension cord in case I need to recharge the laptop.

...how people always have brilliant white teeth in books-even in books written back in the sixties.  You know, before dentistry had really ramped up to give everyone (who could afford it) Colgate smiles of blinding, dazzling white.

It's interesting to see what time does.

I found out recently that Piers Anthony's Incarnations of Immortality series had a new book (well, new to me).  So I read it... remembering things, and also wondering about inconsistencies.  Because I'm like that.

So I bought myself a book not so long ago, based on a LJ community rec (I think Barnes & Noble, but I can't remember now). I thought it sounded like it could be a hoot, being essentially a horror novel about a book store.  Funny, right?

I was forced, entirely against my will, to pick up an actual book today when FPL came out and decided to cut off our power for no discernable reason. (There was one, but it was so totally fried that even a drug addict couldn't make sense of it.)
