Tonight, I just can't sleep. I've finished A Thousand Splendid Suns, and found myself unable to pick anything else up to continue. My heart is full enough between my own worries and the emotional finish to that book.

Life seems to be all about the future these days. It's a pleasant change for me, slowly prying myself out of the past to see where I really am, and where I'm really going. I'm not going to say I like every last bit of it...  but I can live with it.

The funeral went perfectly. I remember sitting in the front pew, Peter on one side, and him on the other. I had no hand to myself - my family was occupying both sides.
